It’s been a while, old friend…

Warning… gifs ahoy.

Wow, has it been a long time since I posted on here. I did the Non-Zero November and really enjoyed it, but as soon as December rolled in… nada.

I have been through a really rough patch mentally, emotionally and physically for the last few months, and it’s still not better.

This pretty much sums up my feelings.

During December, I got very down in the dumps about pretty much everything in my life and couldn’t see a way for it to be better. This completely nuked my confidence and motivation and has caused me to not do anything I really wanted to do in my spare time. Then on Christmas Eve, I came down with the flu. I had it for three weeks and I think I’m still suffering from the remnants of a chest infection. Due to all this, I haven’t done any of the exercise or physio I wanted to do, so my legs are still agony most of the time.

I did get a fantastic opportunity recently and I am a (probationary) writer for! I write press releases, articles, reviews and features for the website. I won’t post any of my GGS Gamer articles here, but I will occasionally link to them so you can read them. I’m very grateful for the chance to expand my knowledge, play some awesome games and improve my writing, so thank you GGS Gamer team!

I apologise if my writing is a little different to how it was during Non-Zero November. The newsletters I write at work need to be very short and concise, so I’ve found my sentences are a bit more abrupt. I also write a bit more matter-of-fact…ly… for GGS, so I’m having to learn to change my writing “voice” when I need to.

So what have I got in store for the future? Not a bloomin’ clue, if I’m honest. I’m looking at getting back on track mentally and emotionally and I’m hoping writing here will help that along.

I want to be more involved with anyone who reads this blog, so please, leave comments! Add me on Twitter (@talesfrmastreet), Instagram (@picsfromastreet) and Pinterest (pinsfromastreet) and talk to me! I’m always interested in new ideas and feedback.

So yeah. I was gone, but now I’m back…

That last sentence was creepy.
