Frisson Friday: Christopher Tin

It’s Friday again. I missed a one or two (I can’t remember) but I have a cracking song (and artist) for you this week.

I had heard this a few months ago from a friend, but found it again today as a related artist, while listening to Malukah (see my previous Frisson Friday post about her, here).

It starts off slow and gentle, with a sad yet hopeful feeling, building up into a powerful song. Despite this, it reminds me of The Curse of the Sad Mummy from League of Legends. This song also sounds very reminiscent of Studio Ghibli’s music, which never fails to make me sit up and listen.

Listening to the song actually portrays the same feeling as the lyrics actually mean. The song is about the seasons, and the stages of life, from birth to death and rebirth again.

Please take a quiet moment to sit quietly, with your eyes closed, and listen to Mado Kara Mieru by Christopher Tin.

If you prefer, watch this gif while listening to the song. I find it very relaxing.

I hope you enjoyed this song and please send me anything that gives you frisson too. If you tweet about this, please use #frissonfriday!
