Well, it looks like it’s that time of year again! November has reared its head and brought with it the crisp mornings and early evenings. I’m not normally a fan of November as I hate Christmas happening before I’m ready (for clarification, it’s roughly when I put my tree up in December and rarely a day before), but I’ll admit watching the sun set at 16:30ish from the office windows yesterday was a tad magical. I even got a picture of the view (it’s the picture at the top of the post, but if you can’t see that, click here).
I’m going to be honest and say I haven’t prepared for Non-Zero November like I intended to. I’ve not got a clue what I’m going to write about, but I don’t want to do as many haiku’s as I did last year – they’re a bit of a cop out. I just checked the statistics and ironically, my most popular post was about pulling my finger out and getting on with shit – an idea that fell flat on its face, of course. Totally not going to write about that one. My god that was awful. [Edit – this post became the most popular on 1/1/16, whodathunk?]
If you have no idea what Non-Zero November is, take a look at my posts from last year, starting on day 1.
People say it’s easiest to write about things you know, so I suppose I’ll write about those things. I know about my own life, so I’ll write updates about how that’s going (even if it’s boring as all hell). Video games are a major part of my life and I need to play more (I’ve been letting that one slide way too much). The journey to and from work allows me to read a lot of books (and I read in bed at night), so a mini review of those could be a good thing to discuss. Two to three nights a week, I watch WWE, which means that’s potentially two to three more topics a week. And of course, I could actually write short stories again. The thing I want to do, but never actually do. How about I do some of those for a change? That sounds like a plan.
My lunch break is almost over now, so I’m going to stop writing now and spend my spare time this evening watching WWE and coming up with post ideas for the next 29 days.
